Komori 540 Printing Press Upgraded with Yaguang UV System: High-Efficiency Enhancement Empowers Premium Printing
Recently, Yaguang completed a project to install its Uv Curing system on a Komori 540 printing press. Through a customized solution, the upgrade enables the equipment to achieve high efficiency, helping the customer expand into high-end printing businesses and improve production performance.
The Komori 540, a classic sheet-fed offset press in the industry, is widely favored for its stable, high-speed performance. The newly installed Yaguang Uv System features a modular integrated design that precisely fits between color units and at the delivery section, achieving deep compatibility with the original mechanical structure and electrical system. After installation, the press can run at top speeds of 10,000–18,000 sheets per hour without slowdown, significantly increasing capacity utilization.
The system is equipped with a high-efficiency water-cooled LED UV light source, offering instant drying properties that cure ink immediately after printing. This eliminates the need for powder spraying, completely resolving issues of powder contamination. The printed surface is smoother and cleaner, providing an excellent foundation for subsequent post-processing such as lamination, foil stamping, and die-cutting. Moreover, it effectively avoids defects like ink set-off and smudging, greatly improving the finished product pass rate.

In terms of application expansion, after adding the Yaguang UV system, the customer can take on high-value-added orders that are difficult for traditional offset printing, such as high-end packaging boxes, specialty labels, and artistic cardstock – thereby broadening business scope and enhancing market competitiveness. Additionally, the LED lamp life reaches up to 20,000 hours, with low energy consumption and easy maintenance, reducing operating costs for the customer over the long term.
