Inner Mongolia Food Packaging Enterprise Upgrades with Komori G740-7+L, Yaguang UV and IR Systems Boost Efficient Production
Recently, a food packaging enterprise in Inner Mongolia has equipped its Komori G740-7+L printing press with a Yaguang UV curing system and an infrared (IR) drying system, comprehensively enhancing the safety and production efficiency of food packaging printing.

Specializing in food packaging production, the enterprise faced challenges as the new national standard GB 41616-2022 imposed stricter requirements on VOCs emissions in the printing industry, coupled with higher market expectations for the safety of food contact materials. The existing equipment could no longer meet these demands. The dry and windy climate in Inner Mongolia led to unstable drying of traditional inks, requiring printed materials to be left to stand for several hours before stacking, which severely constrained delivery timelines. Simultaneously, stricter local environmental policies made it difficult for traditional solvent-based inks to meet the latest VOC emission standards. More critically, the existing equipment was unable to handle non-absorbent substrates such as plastics and metals, causing the enterprise to miss out on high-end packaging orders.

The collaborative solution provided by the Yaguang UV and IR systems has completely transformed this situation. The Uv System achieves instant ink curing through ultraviolet light, while the IR system's infrared radiation provides preheating, significantly improving overall drying efficiency and increasing printing speed from its original level. This "photothermal synergy" technology not only ensures low-temperature drying without deformation for paper and other substrates but also enables the ink to form a dense cross-linked structure, enhancing scratch resistance and increasing color saturation.
This upgrade also confirms the perfect adaptability of the Yaguang system to Komori models. The synergistic technology of Yaguang UV and IR provides a reliable solution for food packaging enterprises in northern regions to achieve green production under harsh environmental conditions.
