KBA 105‑9+L+YY+1+L Offset Press Installed with Yaguang UV System
Recently, a customer’s KBA 105‑9+L+YY+1+L offset press was retrofitted with a Yaguang UV system, enabling UV printing capabilities.
This high‑end model features a 9+1 configuration with dual coating and an extended delivery unit. Originally designed for conventional inks, the customer wanted to expand into UV packaging, specialty substrates, and high‑gloss applications. We provided a complete Yaguang UV curing system, including: UV lamp housings and lamps installed behind each printing unit and coating unit; an efficient water‑cooling circulation system for stable long‑run operation; and fully automatic shutter and power control, integrated with the original KBA operation interface.
After installation, the press achieves:
Instant curing：UV‑printed sheets exit dry, no powder spray, easy post‑press processing.
Cold light technology ：reduced heat impact on heat‑sensitive substrates, no paper distortion.
High‑gloss effect：in‑line coating plus Uv Curing for superior print finish and added value.
Customer feedback: The press runs stably, job changeover efficiency has greatly improved, and they have successfully taken on UV jobs such as high‑end cosmetic boxes and metallic/paperboard printing. Both production capacity and profits have grown significantly.
